I have the attention span of a gnat. I start AT LEAST one new project daily, which would be super productive if I actually finished one of them. Here's a peek at what I'm talking about:
Collage/painting of my grandparents I started 3 months ago-untouched since.
Oil pastel drawing started over 5 months ago-still collecting dust.
Procrastination leads to failure.
If you keep putting off your project, (painting, collage, website, homework, dishes, laundry), chances are you'll lose the fire that got you pumped initially. And if you lose the fire, you aren't going to finish (unless you're forced to finish in which case you won't give it your best). Your project dies, potential is lost.
So with this blog, my art, and everything else that only gets my fleeting attention, I've vowed to see things through. Not to give up, to finish when I'm still fired up. And I did.
I finally finished a painting.
It's no Picasso, but it's done. And I enjoyed every minute of it.
Please come back and share your victory! I'd love to see your completed work!
