Ok fellow artists and crafters...I have a dilemma...and I need your help.
I've been stewing on some projects for glass jars and finally came up with this:
Glowing Autumn Leaf Jar
1. I collected some leaves and copied them on my printer onto vellum.
2. I cut out the leaves.
3. I covered the back of the leaves in gloss medium varnish.
4. I stuck the vellum leaves to the jar.
The plan was to cover the jar in vellum leaves then insert a battery operated candle to create a glowing leaf effect. HOWEVER, the vellum crumpled and wouldn't stick.
Should I use a different medium? Different paper? Different method? Anybody done anything like this before? I'd love some suggestions!!
